About the Opportunity

RMIT University is seeking highly qualified and motivated Indigenous researchers to join our team as Vice-Chancellor's Indigenous Research Fellows. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality research with significant societal impact and support RMIT's Strategic Research Priority Areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality research aligned with RMIT's Strategic Research Priority Areas
  • Provide research leadership and develop networks
  • Manage collaborative partnered research projects in a global environment

Types of Fellowships

We are offering three types of fellowships:

  • Vice-Chancellor's Indigenous Senior Research Fellowships: For established researchers with a national reputation for undertaking high-quality research.
  • Vice-Chancellor's Indigenous Research Fellowships: For emerging researchers with a track record of undertaking high-quality research.
  • Vice-Chancellor's Indigenous Postdoctoral Research Fellowship: For postdoctoral researchers looking to make significant contributions to RMIT's research priorities.

Benefits

  • A four-year fellowship with a salary ranging between Academic Level C1-C6 (depending on experience)
  • $30,000 per annum research support funding (for Senior Research Fellowships)
  • $20,000 per annum research support funding (for Research Fellowships)
  • $10,000 per annum research support funding (for Postdoctoral Research Fellowship)
  • An opportunity to significantly build your research track record and reputation, supported by training, development, and mentorship

Eligibility

Only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply. Confirmation of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage is required.
