Financial Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled accountant to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and meeting tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, with the ability to prepare and review quarterly BAS, annual FBT returns, and statutory tax obligations. They will also possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to provide accurate and timely financial data to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support month-end close including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Assist with year-end financial reporting and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Prepare and review quarterly BAS, annual FBT returns, and statutory tax obligations
  • Support intercompany recharges and levy billing processes with strong attention to detail
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports across P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow for multiple entities
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations across corporate and operating entities
  • Provide back-up support for payroll reconciliation, journals, PAYG submissions, and payroll processing when required
  • Manage credit card journals and reconciliations as needed
  • Partner with the FP&A team on journal queries and provide accurate, timely financial data
About You
  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Experience in a hands-on accounting role
  • TechOne knowledge highly regarded, but not essential
