Essity is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to spearhead financial operations and drive strategic growth.

About the Role

This senior leadership position combines technical expertise with people leadership and business partnering. The successful candidate will lead the financial team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight in financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and accounts management.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to accounting standards.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including external audits.
  • Oversee general ledger functions and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in financial systems and processes.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
