Healthy Food Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate chef to join our team in creating healthy menus for children.

Job Description:

As a Healthy Food Chef, you will play an active role in developing and implementing nutritionally balanced menus that cater to the diverse needs of our children. You will be responsible for preparing, implementing, and evaluating the nutritional content of menus, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement healthy menu plans that cater to the dietary needs of children with allergies and specific requirements.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals that promote healthy eating habits and support the development of children's physical and mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to design and deliver innovative and engaging meal programs that meet the evolving needs of our children.
  • Maintain accurate records of menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in an early childhood setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as relevant certifications (e.g., Food Safety and Handling Certificate).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and children.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
