We are seeking a skilled Support Specialist to provide direct assistance to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who require support with daily living activities, personal care, and medication management. Our team delivers person-centered services that promote independence, community engagement, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping.
  • Provide personal care and support with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance clients' independence and participation in community activities.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records of service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Support or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience providing support services to individuals with disabilities.
  • Manual Handling: Proficiency in manual handling techniques and procedures.
  • Medication Administration: Competence in administering medications as prescribed.
  • Level 2 Experience: Demonstrated experience working with clients who require Level 2 support needs or above.
  • NDIS Knowledge: Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant policies.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts.
