Patent Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced Patent Assistant to join our national Engineering/Information & Communication Tech team.

  • This role involves providing administrative support to patent attorneys, including preparing correspondence and documents, maintaining accurate information on client portals, and liaising with IP Australia for document productions, lodgements and amendments.

The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record of meeting deadlines and furthering their own success.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting patent attorneys with various tasks, including preparing correspondence and documents, maintaining accurate information on client portals, and liaising with IP Australia for document productions, lodgements and amendments. This role also involves general administration tasks, such as filing and data entry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proven track record of meeting deadlines and furthering their own success
