Koala Conservation Programs Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Koala Conservation Programs team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your strategic direction and management expertise to deliver priority programs contributing to the conservation and recovery of koala populations in Queensland.
  • Facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders to drive habitat protection, restoration, and threat mitigation initiatives.
  • Identify emerging issues and challenges in policy, legislative, and operational aspects of koala conservation and contribute to setting, planning, and leading strategic directions.
  • Develop and implement innovative policy and operational initiatives for efficient delivery of koala conservation programs.
Requirements:
  • A deep understanding of wildlife and conservation management principles, practices, and legislation.
  • The ability to develop strategic policy and research complex issues to provide best practice solutions.
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills to provide clear advice on complex or controversial issues.
  • Experience building and sustaining networks and relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
