We are seeking an experienced Global Export Sales Professional to join our team in Australia.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity will see you working with our global sales organisation to drive sales for our product portfolio in international markets outside of Australia and New Zealand.
You will be responsible for executing sales strategy to achieve budget sales targets and ensuring the continued success of our products and systems, including new products/systems to the portfolio.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Review tenders and support the local sales organisation/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of offers.
- Prepare comprehensive quality technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives.
- Ensure the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer and costing models, indicating prices and trading conditions. Define items to be included in proposals.
- Support development and maintain detailed understanding of the transformers business strategy and market positioning, prepare various analyses as related to market segment, product, and competitors.
- Analyse customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the sales organisation. Perform Win/lost proposal analysis, identify potential cause, and recommend future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.
- Participate in negotiations with customers on technical, contractual, and commercial content of the proposal. Provide information to the risk review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy and participates in the risk review assessment as needed.
- Drive and hold yourself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety, and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved. Attend required health, safety and environment training, and Report injuries, incidents, hazards and near miss events.
Your Background
- Degree qualifications in Engineering (electrical) or recognised equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sales or Tendering Engineer.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the electrical engineering industry.
- Estimating and tendering experience (MS Excel based system).
- Sales tools literacy and competent in using SFDC (preferable), MS Word, MS Excel.
- Good communication skills and assertive business acumen.
- Able to collaborate within the broader business.
- Strong technical knowledge of MV Power Quality.
- Exceptional communication skills along with interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Critical consulting skills in bid-no bid issues.
- Basic risk review experience.
- Time management, co-ordination, accuracy, attention to detail and performing in a pressure environment are necessary.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
