Role Purpose

The Recoveries Officer will assist in minimising company expenditure by ensuring the prompt and fair process of claims recoveries according to the terms and conditions of the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and in accordance with company procedures in relation to the management of recoveries.

Key Responsibilities

The Recoveries Officer will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and determining liability and apportionments in the motor claims process
  • Managing recoveries in accordance with company procedures
  • Negotiating with stakeholders to achieve a sound outcome for the organisation
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Intermediate skills in the use of MS Office Software Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of the motor claims process
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to show initiative and work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Experience

Experience in claims or a debt/recovery position in the finance/insurance industry is highly desirable.
