About the Role

The Australian Defence Force is seeking highly motivated and adventurous individuals to join our Infantry Soldier Gap Year program. As a soldier, you will be trained in a range of skills, including combat, first aid, and teamwork, to prepare you for a career in the military or beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete 9 weeks of recruit training at Kapooka, NSW, where you will learn essential skills such as physical training, weapon handling, and drill
  • Develop your skills and expertise at the School of Infantry, Singleton, NSW, where you will learn infantry tactics, weapons, and equipment
  • Participate in close quarters battle training in the field and urban environment
  • Learn how to shoot, move, and communicate effectively in a combat environment

What Happens Next
