You will undergo Initial Employment Training (IET) to learn the skills and knowledge required for this role. As you progress in your career, you may have opportunities to specialize in areas such as driving, vehicle crew commanding, or mortaring.
Working with the Australian Defence ForceAs an Infantry Soldier, you will be part of the Royal Australian Infantry Corps (RAInf) and will be posted to one of the seven battalions of the Royal Australian Regiment. You will work closely with other elements of the Australian Defence Force to achieve mission objectives.
