About this role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead strategic commercial oversight for infrastructure planning and capital delivery contracts. This is a critical role that requires strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic commercial oversight across all phases of infrastructure planning and capital delivery contracts from planning and design through to execution.
  2. Manage incoming commercial requests and allocate tasks across the team based on expertise, workload, and project priorities.
  3. Lead the team in monitoring project budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance across infrastructure planning and capital delivery contracts.
  4. Guide the team in proactively identifying and mitigating commercial risks, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  5. Develop and execute strategic procurement plans with the commercial team, focusing on implementing competitive commercial frameworks, governance, and assurance processes that guide project development and delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Law, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 10 years' experience in commercial agreements within major infrastructure delivery.
  • Proven experience in contracts or commercial management in the infrastructure or construction sectors.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
