Cardiology Assistant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining all X-Ray and hemodynamic equipment in the Cath Lab. This includes pre-operative assessment, post-operative evaluation, and applying age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment, and/or care of patients. The successful candidate will possess substantial knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of biological, psychological, and social sciences. They will also be responsible for the general functioning of the Cath Lab and its necessary supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Accurate documentation and charging.
  • Thinking critically and anticipating the needs of patients and surgeons.
  • Assisting with the orientation of new personnel.
  • Taking call as assigned.
  • Cross-training to monitor, circulate, scrub, and operate all cath lab equipment.


Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
  • Currently registered with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and the TDH (Texas Department of Health).
