We are seeking a skilled Lawyer who will assist project teams on rule changes and reviews by drafting and reviewing amendments to the national energy rules in accordance with energy laws and our policy directions.
The successful candidate will provide legal advice and perspectives to support our decision-making on policy matters, support governance and operational functions, conduct legal reviews of briefings and decision-making documents to ensure compliance, and deliver broader in-house legal support, including procurement, policies and procedures, audit and risk, and compliance programs.
We value diversity and inclusivity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to creating a supportive workplace where everyone can thrive.
To be successful in this role, you should have 1 to 3 years' post-admission experience, knowledge of statutory interpretation, administrative law, climate change policy and regulation, or corporate governance. You should also have strong communication, project management and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand complex subject matter.
