Director Assistant Opportunity

As a key member of our team, the Director Assistant will work closely with the Centre Director to provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to our staff. Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) to support and collaborate with the Centre Director in the day-to-day running of the centre
  2. Provide mentorship and guidance to educators, promoting professional growth and excellence in teaching practices
  3. Lead and support room teams as a Team Leader, fostering strong relationships with children, families, and staff
  4. Float across various rooms to offer leadership, drive consistency, and ensure smooth daily operations
  5. Engage in non-contact time to focus on centre management tasks, including rostering, team development, and compliance
  6. Assist with performance management and fostering a positive workplace culture
  7. Be a go-to resource and support for both the Centre Director and the entire team

About You:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within early childhood education
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Passionate about mentoring, guiding, and inspiring educators to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a supportive and approachable leadership style
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Centre Director to meet goals and ensure the highest standards of care

What We're Looking For:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare or early learning setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and compliance requirements
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities with a focus on building strong teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, families, and children
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a passion for delivering high-quality educational outcomes
