Diesel Technician Roles

As a diesel technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment where you can utilize your technical skills to maintain and repair heavy mobile equipment.

Our clients are seeking experienced technicians who possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex problems. In addition to your technical expertise, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized mechanical trade qualification in light vehicle, heavy duty, or road transport, as well as experience working on mobile equipment. They will also possess the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and have an intermediate understanding of computer systems.

Some of the key responsibilities of the diesel technician role include:

  • Maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment including trucks, buses, and generators
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical problems
  • Utilizing computerized diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
