Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow in construction zones. This position involves overseeing traffic management operations on major infrastructure projects in Victoria, developing and implementing effective traffic management plans, and coordinating the deployment of traffic control teams and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage traffic control operations on major infrastructure projects, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive traffic management plans in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Oversee the coordination and deployment of traffic control teams and equipment, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with traffic management plans and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project delivery.
  • Manage project resources, including cost control and resource allocation, to optimize performance.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise traffic control personnel to uphold high standards of safety and performance.
  • Evaluate and enhance traffic management processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic control and management, with a focus on major infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, traffic management, or a related field.
  • An in-depth understanding of traffic management regulations and standards in Victoria.
  • Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the use of traffic management software and tools.
  • A current Victorian driver's license and relevant traffic management certifications.
