Senior Health Promotion Officer

We are seeking a dedicated professional to spearhead targeted health promotion initiatives aligned with NSW Health strategies.
This role will focus on designing, coordinating, and delivering evidence-based programs to address harmful drug and alcohol use in the Nepean, Hawkesbury, and Blue Mountains region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health promotion, project management, and community engagement, with experience working on issues related to alcohol and other drugs.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to population health improvement and make a tangible impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive health promotion strategies to reduce harm associated with substance use.
- Collaborate with health professionals and stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise.
- Promote awareness and understanding of healthy behaviors through educational programs and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring data-driven decision making.
- Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, community engagement, and program evaluation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated understanding of social determinants of health and their impact on vulnerable populations.
