The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team in Coolaroo, Victoria. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our site, while driving business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations to achieve satisfactory outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Operational Performance: Achieve operational EBITDA in line with KPIs and budget.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement action plans to improve plant efficiencies, transparency, and results.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Set direction, provide mentoring and coaching to the leadership team, and ensure ongoing tracking and management of the business to budget.
  • Cost Reduction: Continuously drive cost reduction programs within the business and ensure lowest costs.
  • Customer Relationships: Maintain internal and external customer relationships, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the MRP for supply, usage, and future planning of stock control.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure OHS KPIs are conducted as per business requirements and demonstrate, encourage, and build a safety and environmental plant culture.
  • Human Resources: Maintain operational wages and salary in line with KPIs and budget, and develop daily and monthly KPIs to track progress.
  • Lean Management: Manage business using LEAN methodology and involve in recruitment process if required to ensure the right people are engaged in the business.
  • Compliance: Ensure appropriate compliance audits are conducted and issues arising from these audits are rectified in a timely manner and documented.

Requirements

  • Work experience managing a team in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage meetings.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to train and train others.
