Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Services Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a team of accountants and controlling your own book of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 8 accountants and control your own book of clients from start to finish
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Oversee the preparation of financial accounts, income tax returns, and business activity statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Draft tax advice to clients on complex transactions
- Mentor and manage a group of junior accountants
- IT - issues, upgrades, and improvements
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Support other managers and directors to achieve their tasks
- Review job budgets, monitor WIP, and adhere to our workflow process
- Approve fees with accurate and appropriate narratives demonstrating a commercial approach
- Develop and maintain strong technical tax knowledge in matters applicable to the SME market
