Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Services Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a team of accountants and controlling your own book of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 8 accountants and control your own book of clients from start to finish
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Oversee the preparation of financial accounts, income tax returns, and business activity statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
  • Draft tax advice to clients on complex transactions
  • Mentor and manage a group of junior accountants
  • IT - issues, upgrades, and improvements
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support other managers and directors to achieve their tasks
  • Review job budgets, monitor WIP, and adhere to our workflow process
  • Approve fees with accurate and appropriate narratives demonstrating a commercial approach
  • Develop and maintain strong technical tax knowledge in matters applicable to the SME market
