Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our newsroom team in Sydney. The role will involve editing engaging video content for our Nine News programs, including digital and streaming platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience with AVID Media Composer and be able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality content within tight deadlines.

  • Edit material for Nine News broadcasts, including voiceovers, grabs, overlay, and packages.
  • Compile vision for archive and ensure edited material is delivered correctly and on time.
  • Ensure timely escalation of any potential technical problems to the Supervisor or engineering team.
  • Ensure all edited material is delivered to a high technical standard and delivered within strict deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in media, TV production, or communications.
  • Proficiency in editing software; AVID Media Composer experience is an advantage.
  • Technical knowledge of media file formats and compression codecs.
