PULP Magazine is a unique cultural platform for students to explore and showcase modern art, literature, comedy, photography, fashion, music, film, contemporary student life and much more. We are looking for a talented editorial team to join us in producing six high-quality printed magazines per year, as well as creating engaging content for our digital publication and social media channels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for editing, designing, and producing our magazine, as well as contributing to the growth of PULP through their work. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain paid experience, professional development, and build a resume in media.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Contribute to the production of 6 high-quality printed publications">
  • Meet deadlines for content delivery and publication">
  • Participate in key events and look for collaboration opportunities with other creatives on campus">
  • Ensure administrative tasks are completed, including fact-checking, grammar, printing, and uploading content">
  • Fill the role of Senior Editor and/or Editor">

Essential criteria for the role include:

  • ">
  • Demonstrated experience in a range of writing styles and for different audiences">
  • Proactive approach to work, ability to collaborate and work as a team, meeting deadlines">
  • Commitment to developing skills in editing, digital platforms, event management, and/or design">
  • Established knowledge of Australian arts and culture trends, University student publications">
  • Excellent writing, communication skills with a strong focus on attention to detail">
  • High level of cultural competence">
  • Evidence of current USYD enrolment and active USU Membership">
