Boilermaker Fitter Opportunity in Gladstone

Exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Boilermaker / Mechanical Fitter to join Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) at our state-of-the-art refinery in Gladstone.
A competitive salary package of approximately AU$105,000 per annum is on offer to the successful candidate, which includes a comprehensive medical benefits program and opportunities for learning and development to support career growth.
About Your RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic individual with mechanical trade qualifications (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter) who has experience installing large valves and pipework. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to safety, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
- Contribute to QAL's Safe, Stable, and Sustainable vision by ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental, and community policies, systems, and procedures.
- Perform maintenance services on Flash Tanks, Digestors, Holding Tanks, and associated equipment in the Digestion area of the plant (planned work and breakdowns).
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and recommend improvements to equipment.
- Order parts and record maintenance history.
- Complete inspection of components and take personal accountability for the safe execution, quality, and efficiency of work.
- Communicate effectively with your team and other internal customers as required.
