Senior Alumina Refinery Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Fitter to join our Turnaround team in the Maintenance Services department. The successful candidate will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures.
About the Role- Perform maintenance services on the Flash Tanks, Digestors, Holding Tanks and associated equipment in the Digestion area of the plant (planned work and breakdowns)
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and recommend improvements to equipment
- Order parts and record maintenance history
- Complete inspection of components and take personal accountability for the safe execution, quality and efficiency of work
- Communicate effectively with your team and other internal customers as required
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Mechanical trade qualifications (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter) with experience installing large valves and pipework would be advantageous
- A positive and motivated attitude with the ability to communicate effectively and work safely in a team environment
- Able to work autonomously in the field
- Riggers and Forklift High Risk Work Licence would be advantageous
- A competitive salary package estimated to be in the range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and comparable roles in Gladstone, Queensland
