Job Overview

This Casual Locomotive Driver Assistant role is a key position in ensuring safe and efficient rail operations. You will work closely with various teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support operational tasks and gain hands-on experience.
  • Assist train crews, operational staff, maintenance teams, terminal teams, and network control.

Requirements

  • Adaptability: Handle changing environments and challenges comfortably.
  • Reliability: Dependable attendance, safety, and teamwork.
  • Eager to Learn: Develop new skills in the rail industry.
  • Local Residency: Residing in or near Greta/Newcastle.
  • Qualifications: Ability to pass a CAT 1 Rail Medical and fitness assessment, Current full Class C or higher Driver's Licence (no restrictions), Valid National Police Clearance (with no court outcomes), Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain), Basic computer skills, Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete written assessments.
