About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced ITS Engineer to join our team on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance project. This project involves the upgrade of the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, traffic management technology, and a dedicated busway. The project will not only improve travel times but also enhance public transport in Melbourne's east.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering concepts, practices, and theory to design technical ITS solutions, including ITS architecture, technical standards, and analytics that meet the project's needs.
  • Understand project scope and develop solutions within defined technical and budget constraints.
  • Manage short- and long-term construction planning for works and prepare accurate reporting and mitigation measures where required.
  • Participate in market engagement, procurement, subcontract, and supplier engagement and management throughout delivery.
  • Complete daily site diaries for areas of work and progress photographs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree qualification in Civil Engineering with industry experience in roads, tunnels, rail, metro, or similar. You will also need demonstrated experience in one or more of the fields of maintenance, design, construction, testing, and commissioning of Intelligent Transport Systems. Additionally, you will require strong knowledge of electrical and ITS systems and assets, including their design and functionality.
