About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ITS Systems Engineer to join our team at Laing O'Rourke on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance project. This is an exciting opportunity for a career-driven individual to work on a high-profile project with a strong pipeline for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering concepts, practices, and theory to design technical ITS solutions, including ITS architecture, technical standards, and analytics that meet project needs.
  • Understand project scope and develop solutions within defined technical and budget constraints.
  • Manage short- and long-term construction planning for works and prepare accurate reporting and mitigation measures where required.
  • Participate in market engagement, procurement, subcontract, and supplier engagement and management throughout delivery.
  • Complete daily site diaries for areas of work and progress photographs.

About You

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering with industry experience in roads, tunnels, rail, metro, or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the fields of maintenance, design, construction, testing, and commissioning of Intelligent Transport Systems.
  • 'Hands-on' experience with ITS systems, including building, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and ITS systems and assets, including their design and functionality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
