Intake and Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intake and Assessment Practitioner to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client services, conducting thorough assessments, and developing effective support plans.
Key Responsibilities- Client Intake and Assessment: Conduct initial contact, safety and needs assessments, and client data entry to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Service Coordination: Schedule initial appointments with relevant programs, support referrals, and participate in inclusive service planning and follow-up as needed.
- Risk Assessment and Screening: Deliver intake and assessment services with safety and risk screening, maintaining professional and confidential client records.
- Process Improvement: Review and refine intake and assessment processes, staying updated on relevant legislation and participating in meetings and supervision sessions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Establish referral pathways through effective networking and collaboration with external stakeholders.
- A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences.
- Experience in client triage or intake services, with skills in risk assessment for issues like suicidal ideation, domestic violence, and child protection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and networking.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and service delivery models, with the ability to operate within these frameworks.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and administrative skills, with proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- A current open driver's licence and valid Working with Children Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening.
