We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children's Contact Service Specialist to join our team at Relationships Australia (Qld). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families during changeovers or supervised visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate contact arrangements and support children and their families during changeovers or supervised visits.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for the children.
- Apply theoretical models of supportive human interaction, developmental stages of children, conflict resolution, and other relevant frameworks.
- Undertake assessment and intake processes, including parent interviews, case planning, and reviews.
- Organise safe and appropriate activities for children to maximise parent/child interaction.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for parents and children accessing CCS.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Have a Bachelor degree in the social or behavioural sciences, preferably with a focus on child development.
- Have demonstrated experience working with children and their parents/carers and theoretical knowledge of the issues regarding child development, abuse, and/or neglect.
- Have experience working with people in crisis and/or parents in conflict.
- Knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations relating to family law and/or children's contact issues is also required.
- Ability to work on weekend and evening shifts.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a First Aid/CPR Certificate.

- A salary between $84,426.28 to $96,580.61 per annum, pro rata for part time.
