We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Officer to join our Hot Strip Mill team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility in Australia. As a key member of our multi-skilled team, you will be responsible for delivering sustained improvement in process uptime and unit cost reduction to our HSM plant assets.

In this role, you will lead and support the team to deliver on equipment reliability targets and asset performance by providing day-to-day electrical technical support, advanced problem-solving, and fault-finding. You will also analyse plant and equipment performance data to identify recurring problems and implement effective solutions using Root Cause Analysis approaches.

Additionally, you will support the management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organisation, safe execution, shutdown, and commissioning of plant. You will coach and mentor maintenance team members to close technical knowledge gaps and identify and implement equipment reliability and cost improvement projects.

To succeed in this role, you will hold a diploma or degree qualification in Electrical Engineering combined with suitable experience in relevant maintenance within manufacturing or heavy industry. Your tertiary qualifications should include Electrical Engineering, and you should hold an Electrical supervisor licence.

You will have a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself, your team, and others, as well as experience working in a similar industry within Electrical Maintenance, with a strong focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability. You should also have experience with fault finding PLCs and motor control systems.
