Job Overview:

The Regional Cost Planning and Estimating Manager oversees the RBU cost planning team, driving implementation and guiding the delivery of cost planning procedures and processes.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  1. Supervise and manage RBU cost planning staff and operations, including evaluating analysts and overseeing less experienced team members.
  2. Implement, monitor, and execute cost planning activities and programs, maintaining relationships with stakeholders to ensure delivery of cost planning outcomes.
  3. Coordinate cost planning reviews to record and inform decision making, ensuring ongoing compliance with reporting requirements.
  4. Maintain current knowledge of cost planning developments and requirements, providing subject matter expertise and technical guidance to team members.
  5. Understand market conditions, maintain genuine relationships with key subcontractors, and source reliable market pricing.
  6. Fully accountable for all cost planning and estimating within the Regional Business Unit from conversion through to delivery.
  7. Actively engage and support Strategic Business Units as required.
  8. Promote Digital technologies through cost planning.
  9. Encourage performance reviews and development discussions with team members to plan resource sessions for future leadership.
  10. Establish and maintain a RBU-specific historical escalation forecasting cost model.
  11. Ensure assistance is available for delivery teams with significant Head Contract variations as required.

  • Proficiency in escalation modelling
  • Use and encourage the use of Cost Planning Workspaces
  • Ability to understand/review PBF cost reports
