Job Overview

The Regional Cost Planning and Estimating Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing and coordinating the cost planning activities of the regional business unit.

This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to drive implementation, guide delivery, and ensure compliance with organisational objectives.

As a leader, you will be responsible for supervising and managing a team of cost planners, evaluating their work, providing training and feedback, and developing internal capabilities.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of building construction, design intent, and design metrics, as well as a sound understanding of quantity surveying, estimating, and cost planning principles and techniques.

They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and managing the cost planning team and activities
  • Implementing and executing cost planning programs and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating cost planning reviews and ensuring ongoing compliance with reporting requirements
  • Maintaining current knowledge of cost planning developments and providing technical guidance to team members and management

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related technical discipline combined with subject matter knowledge and demonstrable experience with developed people manager skills
