Job Title: Leading Power Systems Expert

Middleton Group is a leading consultancy specialising in solving complex power and energy challenges through innovation, collaboration and engineering excellence.

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead our developing grid connection team, responsible for expert technical leadership of generator and grid connection projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proven track record of successful grid connections within Australia with diverse generation technologies.
  • Expertise in the use/application of advanced power systems software including coaching junior team members.
  • Thorough understanding of the generator connection process in Australia and obligations of each party.
  • Expertise in one or more generator technologies, such as synchronous or asynchronous.
  • Leadership of the power systems modelling team, with responsibility for project sales and delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) + minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Extremely high levels of technical knowledge, ingenuity and creativity.
  • Broad knowledge about design and operation of systems outside of specialty.
