Cloud Automation Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automation pipelines, cloud infrastructure services, and CI/CD workflows to streamline software development and delivery.

This role involves working closely with AI developers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams to ensure fast, reliable, and secure deployments—meeting regulatory requirements like APRA CPS 234 and ISO 27001, while adhering to industry best practices.

You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and custom scripts to automate deployments across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, VMware).

Additionally, you'll build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, automating provisioning, scaling, and recovery while ensuring alignment with APRA CPS 234 and ISO 27001.

In this full-time position, you'll have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, fostering innovation and growth. We offer flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and custom scripts.
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Automate provisioning, scaling, and recovery of cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and compliant deployments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT with at least 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure services, including managing hybrid cloud infrastructure and Azure Synapse deployments.
  • Proficient in Terraform, ARM templates, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing secure DevSecOps practices and aligning with frameworks like APRA CPS 234 and ISO 27001.
