Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Careers Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-creating and delivering a multifaceted program for Stage 5 students.

The role will involve partnering with staff, students, parents, carers, tertiary sectors and workplaces to craft meaningful learning opportunities and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver high-quality careers education programs that cater to the needs of Stage 5 students.
  • To work effectively with teachers, students, parents and external partners to identify and address career aspirations and goals.
  • To provide accurate and up-to-date information about future study and career options, including university courses, vocational training and employment pathways.
  • To facilitate workshops, presentations and other activities that promote career awareness and development.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Education or related field with relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience in teaching and leading careers education programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with current educational policies and initiatives.
