Job Opportunity: Tactical Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Tactical Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in identifying cases of suspected fraud and providing analytical assistance to large-scale operations and investigations.

The successful candidate will have strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to work closely with investigation teams and provide near-real-time analytical support. You will also be responsible for producing high-quality intelligence products and managing sensitive cases.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, as well as analyze and report on current and emerging fraud methodologies, trends, and vulnerabilities.

This is a full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing contract for up to 18 months. The location of this role is Brisbane, QLD. Industry: Government & Public Sector. Country: Australia.

About This Role:

This role involves identifying cases of suspected fraud by utilising best practice intelligence gathering, analysis, production, and dissemination methodologies.

You will work closely with Investigation teams, providing near to real-time analytical assistance to large scale and complex Operations and investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research and analysis of suspected fraud against programs administered by the agency.
  • Work closely with Investigation teams, providing analytical assistance to Operations and investigations.
  • Produce intelligence products and analytical charting.
  • Manage highly sensitive cases and issues.
  • Analyse and report on current and emerging fraud methodologies, trends and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Research, analyse and influence intelligence products, practices and procedures using expertise and technical knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Intelligence experience or demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify, analyse and report on fraud threats and emerging trends in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex overt and discreet intelligence online collection and analysis.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of payments, programs and services administered by the agency.
