We are seeking a skilled Grains and Oilseeds Controller to join our team. This is a challenging opportunity for a finance professional to play a critical role in overseeing financial operations across the G&O platform in Australia.
Job DescriptionThe Grains and Oilseeds Controller will be responsible for management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, fixed asset integrity, stock control, and finance systems. This includes preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reports, managing accounting inputs across revenue, cost allocation, inventory reconciliation, and asset lifecycle.
The successful candidate will also support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting in collaboration with FP&A, maintain and manage the Fixed Asset Register, and lead capex reporting and compliance. Additionally, they will oversee stocktake processes and ensure integrity of finance systems (ERP/CSM).
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Membership of Professional accounting organization
- 5 or more years' experience in a finance role preferred
- Understanding of the grain industry preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Technical accounting knowledge gained from a medium - large/complex corporate environment, reporting according to Australian Accounting Standards
- Familiarity with key end-to-end business processes and associated internal controls such as budgeting and forecasting, invoicing and billing, procure-to-payment
