Regional Workplace Health and Safety Manager

The Regulatory Operations Group has responsibility for achieving safer and healthier workplaces within its jurisdiction. It does this by promoting continuous improvements in work health, safety and rehabilitation practices.
The Group plans and implements an integrated program of continuous improvement and compliance activities to target issues or entities across the jurisdiction that pose the most significant risk to health and safety of workers.
Services are delivered across the country through employees working in regional offices.
This position requires a sound knowledge of WHS and the federal WHS legislative environment and demonstrated experience within a regulatory framework.
The Assistant Director will have responsibility for coordinating and ensuring the successful completion of regulatory activities by a small team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating regulatory activities
- Ensuring successful completion of tasks
- Working closely with colleagues and key stakeholders
