About the role

This is a full-time WHS Officer role with Regional Workplace Safety Pty Ltd based in Gawler, South Australia. In this position, you will be based on a building site for the first 3 months. The role with then move to a hybrid role, visiting sites and working form home on occasions. Your focus will be on developing, implementing and maintaining effective workplace health and safety systems and procedures to support a safe work environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
  • Investigating incidents and injuries, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborating with clients assisting them with their safety and compliance needs

MUST HAVES:

  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS
  • White Card
  • Working with Children Check

What we're looking for

  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Ability to identify hazards and provide advice in a practical manner
  • Proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
