Senior Business Partner for Health and Safety in Operations

We seek an experienced and proactive individual with a Health & Safety background to fill the role of Senior Business Partner, reporting directly to the HSEQ Systems Manager.
This role will involve the delivery of the Health and Safety Annual Work Plan and specific health and safety projects in collaboration with the Health and Safety Leadership Team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely reports on the Annual Work Plan and projects for input to Executive and Board reporting.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, and candidates can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Facilitating and leading project teams to deliver projects to scope, time, quality standard, and budget.
- Developing business cases related to health and safety projects or programs as required.
- Proactively managing project risks and issues, escalating as necessary to achieve resolution.
- Delivering specific health and safety projects, including IT/system projects, assigned by the Head of Health and Safety and EGM Enterprise Services and Standards.
- Providing timely and high-quality project status reporting for input to Executive Committees and Boards.
- Facilitating and leading change management associated with health and safety projects.
- Collaborating with the HSE Reporting Team to deliver high-quality reports related to HSE.
- Analyzing and interpreting data, providing insights for key stakeholders, including Executive Managers, Safety Forums, Executive Committees, and Boards.
- Preparing high-quality reports and presentations for various HSE governance forums.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- A Health and Safety background with a proven track record of implementing successful organization change in a complex environment.
- Ideal 5 years of experience in program and project management in a large/complex organization.
- Experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting large volumes of data in a consumable format for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of and ability to use HSE Systems.
- Experience liaising and contributing to senior management teams.
- Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety.
- Lead Auditor qualifications highly regarded.
