Lead Operations Manager - Risk and Analysis

The role of the Lead Operations Manager in the Risk and Analysis team is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities that support the team's objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the operations side of the Risk and Analysis team, including the WHS Helpdesk and authorisations functions.

In this position, you will oversee the initial assessment of incident notifications submitted in relation to Work Health and Safety (WHS) incidents and manage the operation of the WHS Helpdesk for the jurisdiction. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting and analysis of WHS data, responding to internal information requests, and providing intelligence to inform regulatory activity.

The Risk and Analysis team delivers a range of statutory authorisation, approval, and licensing services. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a Certificate IV in WHS or experience in a regulatory environment. You will also be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the operations side of the Risk and Analysis team.
  • Oversight of the WHS Helpdesk and authorisations functions.
  • Reporting and analysis of WHS data.
  • Providing intelligence to inform regulatory activity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate IV in WHS or experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
  • Employee Health Declaration.
  • Six months probationary period for new engagements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
