We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at IPA Personnel in Rockhampton. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live happier, more satisfied lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care, including showering, toileting, and dressing, with a focus on maintaining client dignity and confidentiality.
- Assist with mobility using hoists, slide sheets, and other equipment, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Administer medications and follow health protocols, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
- Support community access by accompanying clients to appointments and social activities, promoting social inclusion and engagement.
- Perform domestic tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Implement Individual Support Plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, working collaboratively with clients and their support networks.
- Document daily tasks and client progress towards NDIS goals, providing valuable insights and feedback.
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certifications, ensuring you are equipped to respond to emergencies.
- Current Police Check (or willing to get), demonstrating your commitment to working with vulnerable populations.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to get), verifying your suitability to work in the disability sector.
- Class C drivers' licence, enabling you to transport clients safely and efficiently.
- Blue Card (or willing to get), showcasing your dedication to working with children and vulnerable adults.
