Senior PV Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PV Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PV and hybrid (PV + storage) projects, leading the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and ensuring all projects meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate energy yield assessments and system performance calculations.
  • Lead the design and optimization of solar PV systems.
  • Collaborate closely with internal/external teams including Project Development, Origination, Civil and Electrical Engineering, Procurement, Energy Assessment, Execution, and Construction.
  • Support project development through feasibility studies and site assessments.
  • Suggest optimizations to improve plant performance, reduce LCOE, or mitigate site-specific challenges.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as trackers, bifacial modules, hybrid systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local standards, codes, and safety improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.
  • Extensive experience in solar PV Engineering including projects for utility-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a strategic approach.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
