Machine Learning Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Backend Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments and strong software engineering skills focused on maintainable systems and solid design.

You will work closely with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of our backend services and APIs.

  • Build and maintain Tier-1 backend services and APIs for deploying and serving machine learning models in production
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Write clean, efficient code for backend systems and agentic systems, building metrics and dashboards, and deep technical investigations
  • Monitor and debug issues across systems - platform components, API, model-serving infrastructure
  • Continuously improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering and automation
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing ideas to simplify, scale, and improve our systems
  • Explore how things work behind the scenes, proactively identifying and addressing inefficiencies or technical debt
Requirements
  • Strong experience with deploying machine learning models into production environments
  • Strong experience with Evals with measurement driven approach to shipping AI capabilities
  • Strong software engineering skills focused on maintainable systems and solid design
  • Strong experience of operating Tier-1 systems at scale reliably
