Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling day-to-day deliveries of bulk fuels from terminal to customer and company delivery sites, utilizing the available fleet.


This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong transport and logistics backgrounds to grow their careers in Australia's fuel transportation industry.


The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements, as well as the ability to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal logistic decisions.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling deliveries and managing driver rosters and timesheets
  • Ensuring that Lowes fleet operates efficiently by minimising operating costs through effective load maximisation, route planning and driver scheduling
  • Liaising and communicating with drivers, customers and transport sub-contractors on a daily basis
  • Supporting depot operations including trip processing and dispatch activities
  • Remote monitoring of fuel tank levels across sites throughout service areas


Requirements:
  • Prior experience in scheduling or logistics considered an advantage but not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively
  • Critical thinking with a focus on problem solving and solution based outcomes
  • Strong computer skills including Excel
