Key Roles and Responsibilities

We seek a seasoned mechanical/piping expert to lead our Engineering Design Team in Perth.

  • Lead the engineering design effort of a team to achieve satisfactory project performance
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of designs
  • Develop technical documents required for procurement
  • Provide commercial awareness to ensure economic and safe equipment selection
  • Liaise with project controls personnel
  • Participate in model reviews, design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews
  • Offer construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience as a senior design engineer in engineering contracting or consultancy organizations within one or more sectors including oil & gas, mining & minerals, and infrastructure/utilities
  • Proven Australian experience in piping design, including concept development, FEED, and detail design phases, with expertise in piping layout
  • Australian engineering experience in piping fabrication, construction, and commissioning
  • Extensive experience in detailed design, re-design, re-rating of piping, design modification, alterations to existing plant, pipe stress analysis, fluid-induced vibrations (FIV) analysis, acoustic-induced vibration (AIV) analysis
  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge and experience of 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems and procedures, e.g., utilizing Navisworks models
  • Application of brownfield experience and human factors in design
  • Worked in a multi-tasking environment under time pressures and deadlines
