Our Social Work Service plays a vital role in optimizing healthcare outcomes for patients in our community. We are looking for professional Social Workers who can deliver high-quality services to adult patients with psychosocial needs and their families. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quality social work services to acute adult patients
  • Undertake psychosocial assessments, consultation, intervention, education, liaison with community agencies, organization of appropriate resources, and management of discharge
  • Rotate through various clinical services to develop a range of clinical skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with staff and other members of the healthcare team
  • Contribute to quality improvement activities and research to ensure best practices and optimize service delivery and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification giving eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Ability to exercise initiative, analyze complex problems, and implement practical solutions
  • Demonstrated competency in psychosocial assessment
  • Demonstrated competency in clinical management of a broad range of conditions
  • Ability to initiate and lead change resulting in improved outcomes and facilitating continuous quality improvement
