Flight Attendant Role in Brisbane

As a Flight Attendant based in Brisbane, you will be responsible for ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight.

The role involves managing the entire cabin independently, performing various duties such as equipment/security checks, in-flight announcements, in-flight food & beverage service, cleaning duties, and handling situations that may occur in the cabin.

This position offers a great work-life balance and includes working weekends, public holidays, shift work, and some nights away from home.

  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance with regulations

Key responsibilities include:

Cabin Management

Ensure the cabin is safe and secure at all times, conducting regular checks and adhering to airline procedures.

Manage the distribution of food and beverages, and maintain the cleanliness of the cabin during flights.

Passenger Service

Provide exceptional customer service, responding to passenger needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Assist passengers with disabilities, following airline protocols and guidelines.

Emergency Procedures

Follow established emergency procedures in the event of an emergency, remaining calm and composed under pressure.

Conduct regular drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum requirements include:

  • Being at least 18 years old
  • Having Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Not exceeding 173 cm in height
  • Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
  • Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Demonstrating one of the following: completion of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, working in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 years, working in the UK, Ireland, or USA for at least 3 years, or completing IELTS with an overall grade of 5.5
  • Ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) involving a police security check
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device (a swim assessment required)
  • Flexibility in working hours, including holiday times and peak periods
  • High level of personal presentation
  • Natural willingness to please and care for people
