Infrastructure Director

This NSW regional role provides senior management, professional and technical leadership in the construction of the works and monitors activities to ensure that works are delivered safely and successfully. The role will manage and work with contractors and service providers to deliver the works in a collaborative and cooperative manner, to support subsequent construction activities and to ensure the timely and effective delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead a team of professionals to deliver the project objectives.
- Develop and implement project delivery frameworks and processes to ensure successful execution.
- Provide technical and governance advice and risk management and mitigation.
- Engage with the community, funding bodies, government organisations, internal and external customers to understand their expectations and request feedback on service delivery.
- Procure services in accordance with Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government Regulation 2021 and Council's Procurement Framework.
- Monitor and track project performance, drive performance improvements and manage efficient projects and maintenance works.
- Lead and manage teams, promoting diversity and developing an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently at all levels, presenting complex construction issues and concepts in a style appropriate to the audience.
- A working history in construction and significant experience in Program and/or Project management with qualifications.
- A senior level of relevant professional experience in construction and operational leadership managing a Tier 1, 2 to achieve project outcomes.
- Working history and experience delivering reconstruction projects in a leadership position across technical infrastructure standards including roads, drainage, bridges and other public assets.
- Direct the planning and organisation of schedule of works to optimise safe and timely delivery, and minimise disruption, delay and inconvenience to customers and other affected public, road and public transport users, adjacent businesses, stakeholders, and the community.
