The Senior Financial Accountant is an integral part of the Eastern Health financial accounting team. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to ensure the efficient and effective management of all financial transactions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of capital requisitions
- Capture all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger
- Provide financial data in a timely and meaningful manner
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
- Support fellow financial accounting team members in their roles
- Provide financial accounting assistance to other Eastern Health staff as required
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- CPA, CA or equivalent qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Appropriate experience in an accounting position
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective financial and accounting services within a team environment
- Highly developed written and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills with a can-do attitude
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications, particularly spreadsheets and databases
